About the Restaurant Am Alten Rhin
We strive and focus on serving regional and local products. Our fresh river trout (forelle) comes directly from Zippelsförder fishers. The local butcher delivers fresh meats from the region and any game meats come exclusively from local Brandenburg forests as the seasons allow. The surrounding rich and fertile lands in the Brandenburg region certainly have a lot to offer those desiring to understand the pure taste of locally sourced products.

All of the dishes we offer can be suitably paired with our regional and international wine and beverage list. We have been sourcing our quality wines from one of our best partners, winemaker Ursula Emrich, located in the neighboring city of Bad Kreuznach for more than 25 years now. We also serve other wines made in the Brandenburg region, most notably, from Werder an der Havel by winemaker Dr. Lindicke.
What an espresso is for Italians, a good schnapps is for Germans! A popular choice from the local region is the Alt Ruppiner Obstler created by master distiller Hans Hermann Degener. Of course, trend products and seasonal offers are appropriately included in the wine and beverage menu.
